Quick 5 Minute Back-To-School Makeup

Look at this CONSISTENCY !
See, I promised.

How are you doing today?
No? What? Why? are good? Okay. Nevermind.

Welp. If you are anything like me, you hit snooze at least twenty times before you actually consider moving from your bed. I usually set my alarm an hour before I need to get up so I can hit it about 5 times before I'm actually going to be late. And usually during this time, my makeup and outfit suffer because I'm rushing to get to school. Well my dear sunshine, I have the solution for you so you're never late again ! Well, you still might be depending on how quick you move but you know...yea.
I timed myself with this makeup look and it took just under 5 minutes (I paused every time I took a picture) and its because I skipped a couple steps and combined them into one quick step ! will make sense in a minute. For the sake of time, i just used a brown powder to fill in my brows. I figured I wouldn't have time for the whole shebang.

Before you get started, put on some music. Something fast, loud and exciting if you're still half asleep or something relaxing and quiet if you're panicking that you slept in an extra 30 minutes.

Products Used:

- Bare Minerals Prime Time Foundation Primer
- MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NW45
- Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Lotion
- MAC Matchmaster in 8.0
- ELF Waterproof Eyeliner Pen
- Maybelline Colossal Mascara
- Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched
- MAC Taupe
- MAC Blot Powder Pressed in Deep Dark
- Clinique Glow Crazy Powder Highlight in 03 Gold Dust that I typed that all out, it seems like a lot of products. But its not I promise !!

Okay let's get beautiful, Ladies ! And Gentlemen...I don't judge. But..nevermind.

So this is the 4 in 1 step I was talking about before. I applied my moisturizer, then my primer then concealer and foundation just to see how long it would take and that took almost 5 minutes. That extra 5 minutes could be spent doing your hair or eating bacon. One pump of each will work just fine. Take your foundation brush or your fingers and mix it all together. And apply like so...

And blend, blend, blend !

Your face should now look like this !

Now you're only going to school, and you're late so you don't have time for all the bells and whistles. Let just do a quick little winged liner and call it a day.
(Winged Liner Tutorial coming soon!)

Add some mascara...

You might see a cute boy at school so winged liner isn't going to cut it. We need to amp it up a bit. Add some highlighter above your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, Cupid's bow, and I make a little tree thing in between my eyebrows but you don't have to.

Add some powder to matte it all down...

This looks like a lot but once you get the hang of it, you will be nice and quick. Now, your lips look a little crusty. No worries. Throw on some lip balm.

And a Nude lipstick..

And you are ready to go !

Dani fun fact #83!
For those that don't know me, or don't know me well, I was born with 12 fingers :)
So umm...yeah !

Hope this helps you out for when you are heading back to school and I have a couple 8:30am classes where I know this will come in handy.
Hope you all have an amazing school year !
And remember, makeup is meant to enhance your beauty not make you look like bozo the clown.
Tone it down this school year ladies ;)

DIY : Makeup Brush Holder

Is this me ?! TWO blog posts within 4 days?!?!
Oh shoot.
I'm back with another DIY ! Are you excited? You should be. So if you're not...get excited sweetie.
Do you have thousands of empty candle holders and have no idea what to do with them? Well, booboo, I got you.
This one is for girly girls which ironically, I'm not but from time to time, my inner girly girl comes out and this is one of those times.
So this DIY is very easy to do and very inexpensive. It takes about 5-10 minutes to do! This DIY is best done in the kitchen or bathroom because it can get a bit messy.
Side Note: If you love DIY's and are looking for inspiration, check out They have amazing DIYs. I'm going try some of their DIYs out soon and will be sure to put them up here.

You will need:
- Mod Podge (Any finish is fine)
- Glitter
- A small brush (I used a foundation brush I bought from the dollar store because I didn't have a paint brush, but don't be lazy, buy a paint brush)
- A Knife
- Paper towels
- An old or burnt out candle in a glass container (3 wick Bath and Body works candles work really well if you have a lot of brushes but all my candles are full so I used an old candle from Ikea)
- Some music (Current Obsession : Ellie Goulding. More specifically : The Halcyon Album)
Lets get started !!!

Start buy cutting along the edges of the candle going all the way around until you have loosened it enough to stick the knife in the middle of the candle and pull it out. If it is difficult to wiggle out, out the candle in the freezer for about an hour and try again.

Next, use the knife to get the wick out from the bottom. Be careful when doing this part because the knife will slip around. I cut myself the first time I did this and I don't want you to cut yourself. Just looking out for you. If you are finding it really hard to come out, pour really hot water on the wick to loosen up the glue.

Pull off the sticker from the front. If it is leaving a lot of residue, pour hot water and scrub while the water is running on it.

Scrub the glass clean with warm, soapy water.

Pour in about a table spoon and a half of Mod Podge into the glass and start spreading the glue around the glass until it is evenly distributed and is relatively streak free.

If you poured too much, like I did, just scoop some out onto your crap pile while you are brushing it out.
This is what it should look like when you have evenly spread the Mod Podge around

Pour in a good amount of glitter and turn the glass on its side and start spinning it around slowly to spread the glitter around. Lay out some paper towel so you don't have a glittery counter. Once all the glitter has stuck, if you have more white glue showing, add more glitter and repeat the process.

Once the glass is fully covered and you can't see any more glue, turn the glass upside-down on the paper towel and pat the bottom the tap out any excess glitter.

Leave the glass face up to dry, preferably near a window

Add vase filler and............................................

Ugh. My brushes are disgustingly dirty. I'm sorry.
